Sr. Credit and Collections Analyst

This position is responsible for the collections and the analysis of credit data from potential customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.

Responsibilities include:
Ensuring adherence to corporate performance standards.
Collection of trade accounts receivable, including managing communication and documentation for customers.
Control and management of systems and numbers ensuring that the systems match for credit control and billing.
Primary contact for the development, testing and implementation of the customer support systems as they affect Credit & Collections.
Credit application control including contacting references and communication of results to internal and external customers.
Resolution of issues regarding accounts and monitoring the account(s) through payment, dispute, and correction/collection.
Daily oversight of customer billing systems ensuring that all invoices are entered and documented.
Assessment of customer lines of credit with the trade receivable to ensure the issuance of appropriate credit lines, risk levels, and compliance with the credit limit.
Monitor periodic credit reviews.
Initiate credits and adjustments to customer accounts within company policy limits to be approved by Sr. Management.
Daily monitoring of non credit approved customers for cash shipments to ensure collection.
Ah-hoc analysis as required supporting the financial function.
Review, monitor and audit collectors and credit analyst work.
Review and resolve issues with customers on credit hold.
Manage customer credit files.
Complete duties and projects as assigned by the Corporate Credit Manager.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Five years commercial collections experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
Two years experience in a technical/professional position.

Skills:
Knowledge of laws regulating credit and collection practices.
Working knowledge of accounting software.
Excellent accounting and analytical skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
