1. Sets up jobs independently
2.Completes good first article to referred specs and print.
3. Basic knowledge of tool grinding
4. 5 years of applicable experience if possible
5. Basic knowledge of programming- Experience in Mastercam would be very useful
6. Basic knowledge of trigonometry and G codes
7. Edits program and monitors tooling.
- Minimum of 5 years experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling
machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Be ale toset-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks,
tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers;
indicating vices; tramming heads.
- Be able to program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and
reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and
conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry,
and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting,
multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for purpose calculating material
fabrication.
-Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and
the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited
to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth, gauges, indicators, and scales.
-Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate
understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
-Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures,
inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal
with frequent change, delays, and/or unexpected events.
- Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime and shifts is a must.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines, and stand for long
periods of time.
- Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output,
quality, cost and delivery.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
