Sr. Improve Plant Manager
The Challenge:

Develop, implement and manage the Site Improvement Portfolio to improve SHE, Quality, yields, production cost and output in alignment with Business & Site strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead and manage the Improve Plant department incl. operating and capital budgets.
Ensures that key technological know-how related with processes is developed and maintained.
Ensures that Continuous Improvement is organized and related targets with respect to cost, output and waste reduction are achieved.
Ensures professional (capital) project management services that deliver scope, on time and in budget.
Ensures mechanical integrity plans are up to date and comply with applicable regulations.

Job Aspects:

This position must exhibit strong engineering & process technological knowledge since the resources on-site are limited. Final technical feasibility of options must be decided by this position. This position must also work to expand the process technology knowledge throughout the entire site.

This position manages the Capital project portfolio related to site improvement portfolio from scoping to engineering, procurement and construction.

This position manages, via the reliability engineer, the development of reliability and integrity plans. As the plant falls under OSHA PSM regulations and has specific risks related to corrosion, runaway reactions and highly hazardous chemicals this requires specific knowledge and adequate controls.

This position interfaces with many other functions, both on and off site. Excellent communication and strong external orientation is required. Being able to bridge technological know-how with real world operation is key to successful implementation.

This position must ensure that all projects are done in compliance with SHE and Quality requirements. This requires both a strong knowledge of these requirements as well as a good working relationship with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) in those functions.

Candidate Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry required.
Experience with Capital Project Management
Minimum 5 years' experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or engineering.
Leadership skills to engage people as well as a strong drive to improve.
