Responsibilities:
Purpose and Summary of position:
To improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant mechanical rotating equipment through the application of engineering expertise in providing low cost solutions to maintenance problems
Major activities include but are not limited to the following: administers a computerized inspections schedule for rotating and reciprocating equipment and ancillary components
Establishes inspection and predictive/preventive maintenance requirements for mechanical equipment
Performs inspections on equipment, issues reports, and develops corrective action to improve reliability, safety, and performance
Evaluates condition of mechanical equipment using vibration and oil analysis to predict life and adjusts maintenance intervals
Performs failure analysis on mechanical equipment, develops corrective action and tracks results
Is responsible for the plant predictive/preventive maintenance requirements and corrective maintenance activities
Develops maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability/efficiency and minimizes repair cost
Develops and promotes new maintenance technologies
Provides input and participates in the development of the maintenance budgets and forecasts
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
BSME required
5
years experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or oil refinery
Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes and experience in Machinery Engineering
Experience with preventative and predictive techniques to improve the equipment surveillance program
Strong computer skills especially with MS products
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization
Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a team based environment
Ability to lead teams toward a common goal
Desired Skills:
Vibration analysis and oil analysis certifications
SAP Experience - GM
Knowledge of Maintenance Work Processes
Knowledge of Industry Process Safety Standards
Knowledge of Lubrication principlesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
