In-state travel is required. An acceptable driving record for the last 39 months is required including no DUI, suspensions or revocations, and less than 8 points on your license. A copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required at the time of your interview. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
This position serves children with developmental disabilities and their families. The purpose of early intervention is to support the family in their relationship with their child with a delay or disability. The end result of early intervention is to develop a firm foundation, that is convenient and attainable for the family, upon which the family may challenge and nurture development to build a child's independence and wellbeing in all environments throughout their lifetime. The Early Intervention Case Manager III is expected to function as the senior or lead worker; serve members/families of great complexity and serve as a backup supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND ABILITIES (KSAs):
KNOWLEDGE of: intake requirements and criteria, assessment tools and child development; methods, procedures and techniques used in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans; Federal/State Statutes and Agency policies and procedures related to the care of assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities; principles and practices of case management; community resources, medical and behavioral health issues and terminology and principle of applied behavioral interventions; school systems enrollment in schools, and service acquisitions; child development principles; principles of human behavior; developmental risk and variation, planning, assessment and the public.
SKILL in: oral and written communication; initiating, developing and maintaining client service plans; interview, council and interact with clients and family members; coordinate and facilitate meetings; conduct needs assessments; problem identification and resolution; interpersonal relations as applied to contacts with clients and representatives of other governmental and community organizations and the public.
ABILITY to: be sensitive to cultural diversity and display professional partnerships and teaming.
SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR: Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Early Childhood Special Education, or closely related field with review of coursework and approved by the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) and one (1) year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities at a professional level. OR For developmental Specialists or Service Coordinator (Support Coordinator) hired in the AzEIP system before July 1 2001, documentation of continued satisfactory work in the AzEIP system in the same position from the date of hire.
NOTE: Applicants for this position shall be subject to a search of the Child Protective Services Central Registry. Applicants for this position will be required to apply for and show proof of receipt of a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card that meets Level One requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
