Provide strategic direction, leadership, and motivation to prepare student-athletes for intercollegiate competition. Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions. Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations. Plan and direct physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance. Instruct individuals or groups in rules, strategies, techniques, and principles relevant to their particular sport. Evaluate athletes' skills and review performance records to determine their fitness and potential in a particular area of athletics. Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to their sport. Ensure compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations for student-athletes. An employee who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations. Coaches the women's tennis team.
Recruits academically successful and highly skilled student athletes.
Plans the practices and games.
Monitors the academic progress of student athletes.
In coordination with the Athletic Assistant Director for Business, monitors and reconciles annual tennis budget (operating and travel) and the purchasing of equipment, following state and federal laws and guidelines.
Gives routine assessment and feedback to participants in regard to their performance.
Arranges travel for team to attend off campus competitions.
Cooperates with media, civic organizations, and campus departments to promote their sport, as well as, the entire athletic department.
Coordinates and cultivates donor prospects for private contributions to UCO Tennis program on an annual and on-going basis.
Coordinates and organizes Tennis tournaments as needed by the MIAA and the NCAA. This would include the hosting of hotels, meeting agenda's, banquets, advertising, and working closely with all teams and parties involved.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and adheres to applicable NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. Upon notification of any NCAA violation, reports the violation to the NCAA Compliance Office. Also has a responsibility to follow applicable procedures and cooperate fully with any and all investigations of potential violations of NCAA, Conference, University or departmental rules and regulations.
Works closely with UCO Scholarship staff members in making sure scholarship limits are in full compliance with annual allocations provided to Women's Tennis.
Meets coaches as well as student-athlete paperwork deadlines.
Attends monthly rules education seminars as conducted by the UCO Compliance staff.
Attends monthly UCO Head Coaches meeting to stay abreast of all internal workings of the Athletic Department as well as the University.
Makes sure tennis student athletes read and sign annual Code of Honor and Conduct clause with Athletic Department. Makes sure any discipline relating to possible violations are carried out accordingly.
Works closely with UCO Athletic Compliance staff relative to NCAA forms, rules, seminars.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required: University degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.

years of experience with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, and assessment.
Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
Preffered: Master's degree.
Successful coaching experience at the high school level or higher.
Current CPR/AED Certification must be provided.
Post-hire: Must pass NCAA certification recruiting test within six months of beginning employment date.
Coaching experience at the collegiate level.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
