Security Interns will work as part of the work site Security Team to provide a safe, secure working environment for all Bechtel employees. Students who are majoring in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or a related program and are looking to gain practical experience are a perfect fit for this position. The start date is subject to business workload and applicant availability. Locations will vary based on project needs.
General Job Duties
Security Interns will assist in Security functions in:
o Researching, editing and analyzing of information for the preparation of reports and correspondence
o Preparing Security forms and maintains activity logs
o Filing documents and reports
o Assisting the Security Manager with tasks such as composing correspondence and coordinating office activities
o Conducting evaluations of jobsite loss prevention programs
o Conducting construction site walk downs to ensure that all property and equipment is secure
Basic Qualifications
o Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor's degree program in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or a related field from an accredited college or University
o Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or a related field
o Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
o Previous co-op or internship experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Strong GPA
