Description/Job Summary
Manage the tax reporting and tax forecasting, planning and analysis function for Metaldyne Performance Group's (MPG's) global organization. Calculate consolidated tax provision, maintain deferred tax positions and prepare tax related disclosures.
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Calculate the quarterly and annual income tax provision.
2. Prepare income tax footnote disclosures.
3. Perform accounting research for income tax accounting matters and document these conclusions in position papers.
4. Assist with strategic global tax planning initiatives and advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability.
5. Prepare global forecast for income tax expense and cash paid for taxes.
6. Review income tax account reconciliations.
7. Prepare provision to return true-up analysis.
8. Coordinate annual transfer pricing analysis.
9. Lead and direct tax information systems activities for provision purposes. This will involve working with appropriate staff members from Information Systems and Finance to clearly identify tax data/information requirements and ensure that this information is properly maintained and available when needed.
Required Skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong computer/systems skills.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Required Experience
6 or more years of experience in taxation.
Detailed knowledge of ASC 740.
Required Education
Bachelor degree in tax/business/finance/accounting required.
Preferred Education
Master of Taxation and/or CPA is strongly preferred.
Details
10% travel.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
