Essential Functions:
The Automation Technician 3 will ensure compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on automation systems and equipment. Execute predictive and preventive maintenance on automation equipment and systems including but not limited to PLC/DCS control systems hardware and software, HMI, operating systems, servers, and instrumentation. Investigates, troubleshoots, and provide repairs to equipment as assigned. Respond to and repair emergency automation issues; Participates in emergency support hotline rotation.
Carries out all duties in compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and DEA. Ensures regulatory and job training remains current by promptly completing required training. Complies with all company and/or site policies and procedures. Complete all GMP documentation to support Maintenance activities and supply legible and complete documentation of work orders as required. Participate in PM development and optimization. Order basic supplies as needed. Participate in Maintenance projects as required including but not limited to Root Cause Analysis, FMEA's, and Non- Conformance investigations. Demonstrates willingness to learn new skills as required. Is available for other duties as required
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Trade, Military or Technical School certification required with a minimum of 6 years of related industrial experience is required. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software and perform system changes for the Allen-Bradley family of controllers and interfaces (PLC5, ControlLogix, PanelView Plus) or Emerson DeltaV is required. Prior experience programming and troubleshooting SCADA applications for such platforms as Wonderware's InTouch is preferred. Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot MES systems and Enterprise OSI-PI Historian is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and monitor system performance for automation network, databases, OSI-PI and MS Server hardware and software preferred. Prior experience in biotech or another FDA regulated industry is preferred. Ability to support site operations when on call 24-7 for approximately 1 out of every 7 weekends is a requirement.
