We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their world class team. This Quality Engineer will supervise, lead and direct a small team of quality inspectors and technicians. Knowledge of TS-16949, internal auditing, updating/creating SOPs, and the development of quality controls. Candidates with good metrology skills, knowledge of gauging, measuring tools, CMM and lab equipment is strongly preferred. Previous experience in a machining environment and Gd&T is needed. Past experience developing inspection plans, standards and methods for inspection, testing and sampling is required. Candidates with SPC and previous experience implementing statistical techniques and data collection methodologies are preferred. The Quality Engineer directs the associates in measuring and testing products and collecting of data. Knowledge of advance problem solving, statistical tools, investigating and resolving quality and dimensional issues is needed. Interested candidates will need experience preparing CARs, 8-Ds and 5 Whys.
MUST HAVE: 5 years of quality engineering, strong leadership, communication and documentation skills within a TS-16949 certified environment. Candidates will need a basic understanding of machining processes or exposure in a machining environment. Knowledge of gauging, measuring hands tools and or lab equipment is needed. Quality Engineer with experience using or programming CMMs are preferred. Experience preparing corrective actions, inspection/control plans and work instructions.
