Summary:
Performs as a lead in designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining applications to meet specific company business requirements. Gathers, evaluates, and refines client requirements, translates those requirements into detailed designs, writes code to meet the requirements of the designs and tests that code. Makes technological recommendations to help guide the eBusiness team.
Essential Functions:
Leads software development by estimating, planning, designing, coding and implementing a distributed Web architecture. Spends a significant percentage of the day writing code.
Designs and writes highly modular and loosely coupled code for maximum reuse and extensibility. Code created should be well documented and follow departmental standards.
Guides other developers by contributing to and ensuring compliance with best practices.
Initiates and independently researches new technological solutions to satisfy business challenges.
Performs prototyping and initiates application development efforts.
Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Stays on top of industry change and drives innovation.
Works with end users to understand, qualify and challenge business requirements.
Creates and executes test cases and ensure testing effectively validates that systems meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
Works in a fast paced continual learning environment. This requires ongoing education (independent and structured) with the ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies to solve business issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science or similar field from an accredited higher learning institution or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years experience designing, building and deploying enterprise solutions with exposure to multiple software packages/vendors, programming languages and technology platforms.
Must have extensive experience with system architectural concepts and frameworks.
Must have at least 5 years of enterprise application development experience using Microsoft technologies (i.e. VB.NET and ASP.NET).
Experience with legacy Microsoft technologies (ASP, VBScript, Visual Basic, COM+), markup languages (i.e. XML, HTML) and scripting languages (JavaScript).
Must have a strong understanding of database technology (Microsoft SQL Server), including performance tuning of queries, SSIS packages, Stored Procedures and TSQL.
Proficiency with object-oriented design and implementation.
Experience with the SDLC and Agile software development.
Appropriate certifications preferred (i.e. MCSD or MCAD).

Working Conditions:
Office environment / cubicle workstation.
Sits at computer workstation for extended periods of time and uses a keyboard and mouse to interact with computer system.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
