We are currently seeking a Global Manager of Maintenance & Reliability to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
This position is accountable for management and control of all asset life and reliability projects, and
initiatives. To create the best cost solution to a practical preventative maintenance program that is
implemented in each region using total productive maintenance methodology or similar. To define the
basis of a global preventative maintenance approach with reporting within the global engineering
excellence organization, to promote the agenda of the manufacturing fundamentals, and create
substance and momentum for global asset reliability program.
Principal Accountabilities:
(All other duties as assigned)
Establish and facilitate strategies, programs and initiatives to maximize major asset life, condition
and reliability with full life cycle maintenance.
Accountable for regional management activities for preventative maintenance, asset equipment
identification, cost elements, and equipment trees.
Implement and prioritize manufacturing fundamentals into the system to ensure standards and
common approved approach to ensure risk mitigation plans are executed accordingly to sustain
the asset operations and reliability.
Ensure the alignment and effectiveness of material supply contracts so they meet requirements
and standards in equipment identifications and work plans in each instance of preventative
maintenance.
Ensure reliable asset information is available for reporting and establish goals and metrics for
tracking the results.
Establish improvement ideas and investment recommendations that follow O-I standards and
best practices that will ensure asset reliability.
Promote the collaboration among functions oriented to reinforce teamwork and synergies , make
decisions between alternatives when necessary but adhere to manufacturing fundamentals and
preventative maintenance governance
Ensuring the coherency, alignment and integration of programs with corporate, regional and local
strategy and focus on execution of the SAP-PM program utilizing standards in equipment
nomenclature, cost centers, cost elements, and work instructions
Scope and Impact:
The business experiences 5-10% downtime due to equipment reliability and has additional $50MM of quality that is a result of equipment reliability.
Leading a global implementation of SAP-PM following industry standards for total productive maintenance
Leads or facilitates global teams
This position plays a key role in facilitating, managing and controlling initiatives established by the global engineering leadership team and the global manufacturing fundamentals team to implement the policies endorsed by the business.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Engineering study. Electrical, Mechanical, Glass/Ceramic, Chemical are most applicable.
Minimum 4-6 years industry experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
Experienced in SAP PM and total productive maintenance methods
Certification in Lean Six Sigma desired
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Sr. Director of Global Engineering Excellence
Travel Requirements:
Travel is anticipated as being up to 25%, including visits to the regions, glass manufacturing plants, suppliers and partner organizations.
