One on One Tutoring Center welcomes applications for tutoring positions in a variety of subjects.
Job Duties:
Provide individual and small group tutoring to enrolled students
Assist students in the development of appropriate study skills and strategies
Assist students on improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis
Plan and prepare tutoring sessions that fit the students individual needs
Model appropriate academic attitude and behaviors to staff and students
Assess the tutees progress throughout their tutoring tenure
Perform other duties as assigned
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds
Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills
Possess characteristics of responsibility, desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
Ability to work independently by applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations
Qualifications
Have successfully completed the course for which tutoring services are being provided or a high level course in the subject area with a grade of A or B
Demonstrate knowledge and competence in the subject area
Have the ability to explain concepts and study strategies to ensure academic success
Exhibit patience and positive attitudes in establishing an encouraging learning environment
Must have or be working towards a college degree or certification in a certain subject areaEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
