Job Description
Responsibilities:
Follow instructions given by the press operator.
Monitor press while running.
Drive tow motors and pull paper from inventory.
Stack of printed materials and keep well organized
Stock all the supplies for the next shift.
Safety:
Report any maintenance, quality, or safety issues to the Lead Pressman or Pressroom Manager.
Be alert to safety hazards in your area.
Quality:
Pull sheets continually to check specifications, density color, coverage, etc.
Look for hickeys, scratches, and other plate defects.
Cleanliness:
Make sure area is presentable at all times.
Follow Lead Pressman s instructions on housekeeping needs.
Remove full gaylords or skids.
During your downtime, sweep, pick-up trash, empty trash cans, align skids, etc.
Required Skills
Mechanical ability required
Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently with or without accommodations
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Strong safety focus required
Ability to work in a team environment required
Ability to understand instructions, both verbally and in writing.
