About the opportunity:
My client, a global manufacturer in Rutherford County, is seeking to add a Senior Accountant / Inventory Analyst to their team. They have the best benefits I have seen yet of any of the companies I have represented.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant / Inventory Analyst:
Oversee inventory controls to include analyzing and reconciling inventory on daily basis
Assist with reviewing and approving journal entries
Assist with preparation and timely publication of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP including Product Line Reports, FRX Reports, P & L, etc.
Assist with reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintain integrity and accuracy
Possess understanding of foreign currency transactions
Assist with preparation of monthly and annual budget, forecasting and the analysis of actual vs. budget
Assist with maintaining Chart of Accounts
Assist with cash projections to effectively manage cash balances, collections and payments
Assist with preparation of the year to date cash flow
Maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist with effective and efficient recording of accounting transactions
Distribute periodic month-end close Schedule
Assist with proper maintenance of fixed asset records
Assist with preparation of workpapers supporting the annual audit and the annual tax return
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant / Inventory Analyst
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
In depth experience working with Inventory
Six
years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting including General Ledger Accounting and Book Closing procedures
Knowledge and experience of GAAP financial reporting
Advanced experience using accounting systems software (Great Plains, Oracle experience preferred)
Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Complicated Formulas)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
