Responsibilities:
-CDL A driver license with Hazmat endorsement
Reports to Hawaii Region Operations Manager
Responsible for the development and safety of 5 to 6 drivers on Oahu
Develops and directs Drivers to ensure compliance with all FDA, DOT, and other Government requirements, as well as compliance with all Air Liquide policies and procedures
Must be willing and able to drive company equipment as needs arise such as heavy demand and driver coverage
Works with customers, regional sales and service to ensure safe and efficient access to customers and to support all sales activities related to distribution
Responsible for the safe, efficient, timely, and economical distribution, storage and delivery of product
Ensures maximum utilization of vessels and equipment at minimal cost
Develops, implements, and monitors programs involving safety, maintenance, efficiencies, operating procedures and regulatory compliance for vehicles, vessels, equipment and personnel
Provides Operations Manager with all necessary information including, but not limited to, timely trip confirmation, driver hours, equipment status, and any other information needed to compile efficient matrices
Compile and maintain run times and Driver hours; updates and maintains pertinent driver certification records, all within the guidelines of the company and DOT regulations
Supervise all rolling equipment maintenance; controlling costs by scheduling preventative maintenance and working with competitive vendors
Must maintain detailed records of service, inspection, and vehicle reports
On-call after normal working hours as needed to meet customer demand and coordinate emergency call outs
Safety:
Promote a zero vehicle accident/injury frequency rate
Conduct regular safety meetings
Ensure total compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines both on company property and off-site while performing work
Ensure that all operations are performed with regard to the safety and health of all personnel
Requirements:
CDL A driver license with Hazmat endorsement
5-10 years directly related management experience Extensive practical experience in transportation CDL with HazMat endorsement10 plus years of safe driving experience
General knowledge of computerized maintenance management and GPS tracking systems
Thorough knowledge of all FDA, DOT, and cGMP rules and regulations
Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft products
Working familiarity with union labor agreements and associated concerns
