As an Immunization and Wellness RN at MedStar Health VNA Healthcare, you will make a positive difference by providing immunizations at community-based clinics and corporations. The ideal candidate for this position likes to travel to various locations and enjoys working with people. There are no guaranteed hours for this position.
This is an as-needed (per diem) position. This job is ideal for people who are looking for flexible scheduling and flexible hours. This position would be ideal for those who are looking to supplement their income by working additional hours. The amount of hours available will fluctuate based on need and will not lead to a full time position.
Job Details:
Manage daily operations at clinic sites
Complete documentation and financial processes related to clinics
Administers immunizations while adhering to universal precautions.
Requirements:
BS in Nursing, AD or Diploma in Nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in MD or Virginia
Current CPR
Two years of medical-surgical experience, including one year in a setting that utilizes nursing assessment skills
Community health/vaccination experience a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to handle and carry equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
Reliable Transportation required.
Coverage area: Montgomery, Prince George's and Howard counties.
Available to work a minimum of four clinics per month during September and October.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
