Press Operator

This position is responsible for all duties associated with the finishing of all printed labels, and release to the QC department. In addition, this position acts as the alternate contact regarding all Private Label Print Production on the Primera Printers as needed.
The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Achieve accuracy in regard to label print production by checking all PDF files to the printed label
Maintain departmental electronic job tracking form
Insure proper label version is printed on all printed Labels
Maintain high quality color control on all printed labels
Operate and perform required maintenance on HP 4500 Digital Press
Operate with high level of familiarly on Primera, Rotoflex and Digicon equipment as needed
Function with flexibility in regard to meeting deadlines or honoring client requests in a timely manner
Increase printing device fluency whenever practical
Responsible for maintaining an archive system for prints and color correction histories
Responsible to ensure that all supplies, media, and materials are ordered in a timely manner

Accountability:
Operator is responsible for all Label Print Production/Finishing and is accountable to the Print Operations Manager and the Director of Operations.
Qualifications and Guidelines:
Experience/Training/Education:
Some HP Digital Press experience/training required
Experience with Digicon and Rotoflex label finishing equipment.
PC/Macintosh literacy
Required Software: Windows XP Professional, Adobe Acrobat, HP Rip
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to operate various pieces of equipment at high output
Excellent organization skills
Conflict avoidance and resolution skills
Ability to work well with others under high pressure situations and work independently.
