Job Description Currently seeking a Director of Technology Delivery for Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance. This individual is responsible for ensuring best in class delivery of technology infrastructure, operations, and services required to support key initiatives that enable our vision of providing solutions that are available whenever, wherever, and however our customer prefers.
This individual will provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to a team of Sr. Managers who lead highly technical employees. He or she will collaborate with technology leadership and business leadership to understand and translate business strategy into technology strategy through the lens of infrastructure, operations, and service management.
Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring strategic, best in class delivery of capabilities reporting up through this role.
Responsible for the overall health of all AAH assets from an infrastructure standpoint, wherever they may reside.
Develop and maintain an organization of high performing people through effective hiring, coaching and rigorous performance/talent management processes.
Plan and implement a resource strategy (internal vs. vendor) based on business need, scope of work, cost, and skill requirements. Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable.
Develop/drive the supporting technology strategy (including a multi-year road map). Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strategy and project execution align with architectural objectives and standards. Provide cost and feasibility analytics to support and gain strategy approval.
Stay abreast of current industry technology trends and capabilities across IT infrastructure (e.g. Hosted, Cloud, PAAS, IAAS, SAAS, Mobile), Operations (NOC), and Services (ITSM).
Educate technology peers, business peers, and AAH leaders of trends and capabilities. Use these insights to inform the strategic road map for technology at Ameriprise Auto & Home.
Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in CS, MIS, Mathematics, or related field required.

yrs exp in at least 5 of the following: LAN,WAN, SAN, Servers, PCs, Mobile, Telecom, Databases, Win/Unix, VMs, DR, Operations, Service Management (Help Desk), Change & Release Mgmt.

- excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- highly organized.
- self starter.
- positive attitude.
- proven track record of delivering results in complex and fast paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in CS/MIS or MBA preferred.
