Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Mechanic

The City of Oshkosh is accepting applications for a full-tie Maintenance Mechanic at our Wastewater Treatment Plant. This position performs mechanical repair in the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lift Stations, and is responsible for inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery and related equipment. This position may coordinate work with other maintenance personnel, Wastewater Treatment Plant employees or temporary staff as assigned. Works under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, can also receive direction from: Wastewater Plant Operations Supervisor, Wastewater Superintendent, and Utilities Superintendent. Requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent; at least 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance work involving the rebuilding of pumps, motors, gear boxes, transmissions and related equipment; drivers license; previous experience in the water or wastewater fields preferred.
