JOB SUMMARY
Continuously exemplifies the mission, values and customer service philosophy of PeaceHealth in job performance and in relationships to others. Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas. Follow established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the medical center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assemble needed equipment, supplies and materials and transport to work area. Stock cart and prepare cleaning solution working in appropriate housekeeping closet.
2. Sweep, dry mop, wet mop, scrub, sanitize and disinfect floors.
3. Vacuum or HOKY carpets as needed.
4. Spot clean between washings and sanitize as scheduled for walls, windows, doors and ceilings.
5. Fixtures, furniture, and furnishings: Dust, damp wipe and spot clean as needed. Change window drapes and cubicle curtains as needed. Clean and sanitize shelves, vents, window frames. Change filters on air conditioner units. Empty, clean and reline trash containers. Straighten and rearrange furniture as needed.
6. Trash: Remove trash from small containers and place in appropriate containers for removal. Handle infectious waste according to departmental procedure. Handle hazardous waste according to departmental procedure.
7. Stairways, elevators, entrances and exits: Spot clean walls as needed. Wash walls as scheduled. Vacuum carpet as scheduled. Sweep and clean outside of entrance areas according to schedule.
8. Horizontal surfaces: Remove dust, dirt, greasy film, wash if necessary and sanitize daily in patient rooms and patient care areas.
9. Patient Rooms: In addition to the above, perform terminal cleaning procedures and prepare room for new occupant. Follow departmental policy and procedures at all time.
10. Bathrooms: Clean and dust daily all fixtures, floors, mirrors, shelves, doors and walls up to six feet. Clean high areas as scheduled. Dust ceiling vents daily Replenish supplies as needed.
11. Utility rooms: Clean floors, cabinets and fixtures.
12. Office areas: Trash and dust daily - vacuum weekly, hokey as needed. Terminal clean as scheduled.
13. Notify supervisor if you need supplies, notice mechanical failures or find other conditions that need attention.
14. Clean all equipment used daily and store properly.
15. Participate in educational in-services as requested by Supervisor.
16. Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.
17. Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.
18. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
, High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
, One year previous experience of formal housekeeping is required.

, Must be able to demonstrate good manual dexterity.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
