IT Development Analyst IIJob Responsibilities
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Development Analyst partners with technical functions and serves as a subject matter expert in one or more technical areas of the architecture, design, development, testing and ongoing support of custom solutions or business applications. Development Analyst develops technical knowledge using development tools such as Microsoft .Net and business knowledge in the solutions space. Must be able to work in a team environment through the entire application lifecycle to meet functional, technical and architectural requirements. Solutions developed must meet Service Level Agreement in a production environment. Development Analyst is able to lead aspects of the Software Life Cycle process with some direction from experienced Development Analysts and is competent to consider most technical implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in discovering and documenting user requirements for Business Systems.
Assist in Architecting software solutions using developed software components and core IT capabilities to meet documented and approved service requirements.
Document detail technical specifications and develop applications to conform to Bemis I.T. development standards and operate effectively in a production environment.
Work to ensure the architected solution meets business requirements and is involved in production support issues.
Participate in all phases and own aspects of application testing, training assistance, data conversion and validation including Go Live and Post Go Live activities.
Work with other Information Technology team members to coordinate and facilitate the successful implementation of the custom & Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of work experience in IT, including software development (SDLC) experience, ERP implementations
Bachelors Degree required with an emphasis in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering
Experience in business software development using Microsoft Development Tools, including Visual Studio, .NET Framework, MS SQL, Web Services. Familiarity with ITIL Standards
Travel : Less than 10%Skills & Abilities Needed
KEY DELIVERABLES
Provide second level help desk support for the Applications (includes on-call rotation).
Creates and maintains artifacts using SDLC process.
Measures effectiveness of the solution and makes necessary adjustments before full deployment
Adheres and improves established design and development estimates for submitted application enhancement requests.
Owns and maintains small application enhancement and bug corrections lists and assist in establishing inclusion list to planned Releases.
Execute application releases as planned by the Application Owner(s) from design to deployment
Supports Knowledge share and transfer among team members
