JOB DUTIES: Perform design, development, testing, analysis, and documentation of analytical experiments that model the anticipated performance of product concepts and enhancements. Design and develop new features for VPLEX performance analysis tools and VPLEX workload analysis tools. Improve VPLEX performance analysis tools by researching, evaluating, developing and apply new processes and methods. Design simulation and test criteria and verify functionality and performance of the Symmetrix and VPLEX. Responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, developing or executing project plans, and contributing to budgets and schedules. Provide technical expertise as well as Symmetrix architecture and performance knowledge to support VPLEX analysis tools. Manage and administrate the servers of the group. Must be able to utilize effectively technologies related to virtualization infrastructure in support of advanced installation, configuration, and troubleshooting activities of VPLEX. Design, develop, test, analyze and document the analytical tool to improve IO performance. Analyze existing feature or components performance in order to help evaluating enhancements, modifications, and corrections. Provide data, analysis and associated solution to feature or product over-all performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin,(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Design and development of applications using Time finder local replication and SRDF remote replication for EMC Symmetrix storage system, 2) Design and development of VSS and VDS providers for EMC storage systems, 3) Design and development of storage emulators, 4) Solutions Enabler, 5) Symmetrix DMX, 6) Symmetrix VMAX, 7) SRDF/A, and 8) SRDF/S. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
