Aggregate Outside Sales Representative

Position Description:
This position requires a general knowledge of Aggregate sales products, services, and policies. The SR will be an independent worker who is self-motivated and can seek out and maintain productive working relationships. The SR will have an assigned territory with full customer and product-line responsibilities, aid in the collection of receivables and provide accurate sales forecasting for the assigned market territories. Some overnight travel is required.
Responsibilities:
Customer focus - leverage relationships with customers to effectively communicate, deliver and capture value for our products and services.
Profitability - maximize pricing by understanding market conditions and employing best in class processes.
Planning - works closely with key customers to understand short and mid-term demand and liaise with operations to create sales-production plan.
Market Intelligence - collect competitive information as it relates to current capabilities, capacity, activity and bidding practices.
Development - through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process, work on closing gaps in competencies that have been identified in annual review and coaching sessions.
Key Accountabilities:
Meeting volume, ASP, PPI and MC targets
Employ value add selling techniques
Execute marketing and customer interaction plans
Consistently use all prescribed reporting, quoting and company tools
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred.
3 - 5 years in a professional sales role, preferably in building materials and construction.
Must have a high level of integrity.
Must be self-motivated and organized.
Ability to build strong customer relationships.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have market knowledge and the ability to sell value.
