Supervise youth and observe social behavior and educational functioning.
Stimulate interest and cooperation in individual and group classes and activities and observe youth behavior in response to treatment efforts.
Prepare daily lesson plans.
Instruct clients.
Prepare periodic and special evaluations through the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Communicate orally and in writing all appropriate information.
Assess each student's learning style.
Design and implement curriculum, instructional strategies, and materials appropriate to the youth.
Attend weekly team meetings.
Ensure attendance of students in all classes.
Check on normative behavior.
Complete all necessary paper work to ensure proper recording of student progress.
Maintain order in the classroom.
Complete educational report for Clinical department at 30 days of client's stay, report all ethical and legal violations to supervisor.
Bachelor's degree and certification by the State Board of Education.
Special Education Certification or experience with special education/emotionally disturbed students preferred.
Must possess strong organizational and computer skills.
The ability to type 25 wpm required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
