The Opportunity - Senior Quality Engineer
As an integral part of our Engineering Team, you will design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution.
Your Challenge
Define and develop quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
Review and evaluate complex in-process rejections and implements corrective action as needed.
Interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.
Design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma).
Participate in and may lead audits.
Provide technical support to inspection personnel as needed.
Your Expertise
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality
Minimum 4-6 years' experience in Quality Assurance, with most recent experience in Quality engineering capacity
Experience with the performance of customer corrective actions and experience generating customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
