The University of Iowa is seeking applicants and nominations for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In addition to serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, working closely with the Associate Director of Athletic Training Services and the Director of Athletic Training Services, the selected applicant will work closely with the Strength & Conditioning coaches, team physicians and extended sports medicine staff regarding the prevention, care, management and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Specific sport assignments to be determined by the Director of Athletic Training Services and the Director of UI Sports Medicine Center. There are clinical responsibilities to supervise curriculum students and to assist in clinical instruction.

Basic
Qualifications:
N.A.T.A.B.O.C. certification in athletic training is necessary along with eligibility for Iowa state athletic trainer license.
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and sports medicine standards of care, excellent organizational and supervisory skills, strong communication skills, excellent self-motivation, a strong commitment to professional growth, demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment , and an interest in working in a comprehensive sports medicine environment.
One to three years' experience at college level as a Certified Athletic Trainer providing sports medicine coverage for an athletic team.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experiences as follows: 1-4 years of NCAA rowing athletic training experience, certification specialties in treatment of soft tissue injuries, background as an ACI within the past 2-5 years, experience working with injury surveillance and medical records programs. Preference will be given to the candidates who can most effectively meet the progressive needs of the Iowa Athletic Training Program.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Full-time, 12-month annual appointment; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
