Their software and services protect against risk completely and efficiently, enabling confidence wherever information is used or stored.
M Squared has been asked to provide Business Analysis consulting expertise enable our client's IT transformation and will serve as a trusted advisors to the organization and provide a high level of expertise in the company's Data Center migration and consolidation efforts in the following areas:
Data Center Resourcing and alignment
Global Network Site Remediation / Repatriation
Service Repatriation, including TEM's, Support, Real Estate, Engineering
Tools (Solar winds, DNS, Enabling Services, etc), VPN
Definition of Success
M Squared will achieve success in this engagement by delivering business analysis expertise to the IT organization including hands on approach to accomplishing milestones and deliverables.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Requirements gathering and alignment for various workstreams
Guide implementation, documentation, and task management
Assess all ongoing and planned requirements across and between the teams (this will include multiple projects and sub-projects) to formalize coordination, prioritization, escalation modes within the engagement model
Develop and deploy a process for managing the associated meetings schedule
Update and manage the roadmap and charter for the IT PMO
Deliverables
Analysis and alignment of the Data Center Program, associated Infrastructure build-outs, and application integration work streams
Create and maintain Issues log, track open items and manage other project lifecycle activities
Liaise with the Enterprise Network Services (ENS) team to formally align requirements of the external connectivity migration work stream of the Data Center Program
Initiate the tracking and reporting activities with the business and development teams
Development assistance with the project plan, forecast and budget
Establish success criteria and determine the degree to which the effort achieved the stated objectives
Oversee the tracking and reporting of project progress and status. Provide quality and risk managementoversight
Ensure project lifecycle documents are complete and filed correctly in accordance with audit requirements

High Tech industry background preferred
Required Functional Background
Experience with projects involving server consolidation, software migrations, and infrastructure consolidation/moves, including initial implementations and upgrades as well as experience with managing infrastructure improvement programs from inception through implementation that include Data Center Facilities (from selection to build-out of the data center), Virtualization Technologies, Windows/UNIX Servers, Enterprise Storage, and Network LAN/WAN.
Current best practices experience for development, management and execution of global, cross functional Data Center projects
Deep IT Infrastructure expertise
Demonstrated ability to develop program goals that support the business objectives and develop and execute strategies and plans to meet the goals
Ability to manage complex, often global, stakeholder alignment and issue resolution using sophisticated executive influence skills
Nice to Have Functional Background
Expertise with Data Center migration projects
General Skills and Attributes
Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation
Influence results through others. Effective at bridge building between stakeholder groups
Work in a self-directed environment
Able to get things done; organized and detail oriented
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with strong presentation, preparation and delivery skills to all levels of management
Exit Strategy
Completion of deliverables will mark the conclusion of the engagement. M Squared will manage knowledge transfer to a client employee and provide mentoring as the engagement draws to a close.
Engagement Logistics
Work will begin as soon as possible, full-time, onsite in Mountain View, CA for a six to nine month term, with possible extensions. Some telecommuting may be possible once the consultant is completely up to speed.
