NVH Core S&R Engineer

Position Duties:
Lead Squeak & Rattle (S&R) NVH issues on current production vehicles.
Analysis/interpretation of quality data/internal feedback/plant surveillance reports.
Develop/lead work plans and projects based on quality results to improve customer satisfaction
Work with cross-functional teams to determine root cause, develop affordable countermeasures, and work with Design & Release and program teams to implement.
Independently run vehicle tests including data acquisition and analysis leading to issue resolution.
Conduct subjective vehicle Squeak & Rattle NVH evaluations to root cause and prove out robust fixes.
Lead implementation of various Squeak & Rattle NVH core projects (Prevent Recurrence).
Six-sigma mindset.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (such as BSME) is required.
Hands-on Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) testing experience.
Hands-on acoustic signal data acquisition experience.
Fluent with analysis techniques such as noise path analysis.
Experience using NVH troubleshooting skills and tools to identify problems and resolve issues.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office packages (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and statistical software.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25%.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters Degree in Engineering (such as an MSME).
5 years work experience in the automotive industry.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Fluent understanding of NVH data based on either test or analytical predictions.
Strong competency in various NVH analysis tools (LMS Test.Lab, HEAD Acoustics Artemis, B&K Pulse, Prosig DATS, Matlab, etc) and instrumentation (microphones, accelerometers, tachometers, g-meters, load cells, shakers, telemetry, etc).
Product Design & Release experience.
Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
