SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Environment, Health Safety Coordinator is responsible for the direction of programs aimed at accident prevention, the management of workers compensation claims, and the evaluation of training needs and the completion of all safety and environmental reporting. Finally, the EHS Coordinator shall support the facility with their safety efforts and perform general resource functions in regard to compliance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
1. Utilizes and maintains knowledge of governmental regulations to ensure compliance with the standards and regulations of the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
2. Evaluates plant for industrial hazards and directs programs for preventing accidents and reducing their frequency.
3. Monitors the status of all workers compensation and legal cases.
4. Investigates each accident to determine the cause and method for prevention.
5. Evaluates the safety training needs of the employees in accordance with standards and regulations and estimates the potential benefits to be derived.
6. Monitors incidence rates (frequency and severity) on a monthly basis.
7. Responsible for hazardous materials/waste management including the proper storage and disposal.
8. Ensures all facilities and equipment are within local fire code standards and follow the requirements of our insurance underwriters.
9. Manages the general safety and workers compensation concerns of the employees on a daily basis.
10. Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
11. Comply with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions related to your job description.
12. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within company.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
X Bachelors of Science Degree. Preferably in Health & Safety disciplines

X 5 V 8 years experience in like or similar position

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
