Develop and implement information technology structures that meet current and future business needs. Performs all aspects of data and database administration including hardware and software evaluation and installation, logical and physical database design and implementation, structured testing of database designs, applications, and technology platforms, security administration, backup and recovery planning, capacity planning, performance and tuning, research and evaluation of new tools and techniques. Specific duties include: Develop database objects and structures for data storage, retrieval and reporting according to project specifications. Develop and implement complex data models and logical database designs. Plan and conduct structured testing of database designs to confirm functionality and performance. Develop and implement plans to oversee the data and database administration function, and ensure smooth transition to new technology. Perform routine and customary operational and monitoring activities to ensure database integrity, stability, availability and capable of meeting ongoing business needs. Plan and execute testing and implementation of major systems. Evaluate technology and techniques to implement and maintain databases and database environment. Develop, implement and test backup and recovery plans and infrastructure. Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation. Utilize SQL DEVELOPER, DATAGUARD and ENTERPRISE MANAGER.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science and 24 months experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (experience can be post-Bachelor, pre-Master). The successful candidate hold ORACLE DBA Certification and 24 months of post-Bachelors degree experience in SQL DEVELOPER, DATAGUARD and ENTERPRISE MANAGER (experience may be concurrent).
