Job Description
PBM Graphics, Inc., An RR Donnelly Company is a leading commercial printing and packaging company in North America, producing educational products, publications, and sales materials for the healthcare industry and general commercial print for many other industries, as well as collectible trading cards associated with the entertainment and sports industries.
We are in immediate need of a Fulfillment Supervisorfor our Greensboro, NC facility.
Manage team in order to maximize quality and production standards, while minimizing costs through effective management and planning.
Enforce safety and all PBMpolicies, and ensure that all employees are adhering to them. Give ideas and suggestions to managementon how to improve safety.
Monitor incoming orders toensure they are readily available for picking. Checks the WMS systemhourly for pick task, replenishments and cycle count.
Interfaces with variousdepartments as needed and investigates potential problems of customerorders and finds solutions as needed.
Assist in maintainingquality standards based on ISO criteria.Monitor the quality of work being performed and check it beforebeing sent out.
Train employees to use theWMS system and work with minimal supervision. Keep overtime to a minimum. Ensureemployee training is completed and that all safety policies and proceduresare followed at all times.
Work with FulfillmentManager to perform comprehensive reviews (PP&E) on employees under direct supervision, recommend raises or promotions, and assist in hiring/firing of an employee.Motivate employees through proper coaching and praising.Take disciplinary action when warranted.
Coordinate scheduling ofvacations in order to prevent any time off interfering with production.
Maintain good working relationshipwith customers and all other PBM departments.
Supervise staff to ensurethat the product being handled is of the highest quality with minimalcosts.
Coordinate production planning. Prioritize and delegate staff workassignments.
Ensure that all work meetscustomer specifications and delivery requirements.
Maintain technicalcompetency and remain current on changes within the industry to ensurethat processes and equipment are up to date.
Effectively communicatewith customers and other employees.
Serve on cross functionalteams to ensure continuous and on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
Prepare departmentdocumentation, including performance reports, correspondence and proceduremanuals as necessary, and all in a timely manner.
Able to multi-task and deal with a variety of situations.
Required Skills
1 year of Fulfillment operations experience. Computer knowledge and interaction
with other department supervisors.
