Qualifications:
Prior administrative support experience needed. Knowledge of higher education is a plus.
High School diploma is required; an Associates or Bachelor''s degree is preferred.
Must have professional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to interact with all members of the Stevens community and visitors in a professional manner is required.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel required
## Job Description
The Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs reports to the Assistant Vice President and is responsible for supporting the AVP in the daily functions and running of the Office of Student Affairs. This includes calendar maintenance, scheduling meetings, preparing purchase requisitions, billing, correspondence and event coordination.

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Schedule group and individual meetings, maintain calendars, and welcome visitors;
Draft, review, and edit correspondence, divisional websites, mass emails, newsletters, documents and program materials;
Coordinate and provide logistical support for events including workshops, presentations, and others;
Make travel arrangements, order supplies and maintain inventory;
Provide administrative support to major university events, as needed, including Commencement, Convocation, Senior Week events, Accepted Students Weekend and others;
Learn and utilize Stevens'' electronic financial system (Kuali); prepare purchase orders and other financial documents, contact vendors, and keep accurate records and filing system;
Learn and utilize Stevens Student Information System; provide support for sensitive and confidential judicial affairs records; maintain databases of student information and update weekly, as required;
Provide support to the offices of Career Development, Cooperative Education, Stevens Technical Enrichment Program (STEP), Student Counseling and Disability Services, Student Health Services, and the Office of Student Life, as assigned.
