The Judge Group is seeking an experienced General Manager for a large food manufacturing company in Nevada. The General Manager and President of the Company is responsible for providing the overall direction of the organization within the guidelines set up by the Board of Directors. The General Manager directs, plans and coordinates the operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers.



Responsibilities:
Preserves existing sales and increase sales at an acceptable rate using skills to motivate sales force with
clear and concise objectives
Preserves margins and increase EBITA through the management of operations and sales and capital
projects
Coordinates and works with the CFO to meet financial objectives and control expenses
Maintains all federal, state, county, and city requirements to run the company in accordance with those
requirements
Leads expansion plans for company growth as directed by the owner
Formulates and provides budgeting guidance for the staff for annual budgets
Negotiates commodity contracts using thorough knowledge of commodity pricing
Possesses a good knowledge of formulation and excels in product maintenance and development
Directs or coordinates an organization's financial or budget activities to maximize investments, fund
operations and increase efficiency
Analyzes operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to
determine areas of potential program improvement, cost reduction or policy change
Confers with organizational officials, board members and staff members to coordinate activities, discuss
issues and resolve problems
Plans, directs and implement objectives, policies and activities of organizations or businesses to ensure
continuing operations, maximize returns on investments and increase productivity
Directs and coordinates activities of businesses or departments concerned with pricing, production, sales
and distribution of products
Negotiates and approves contracts or agreements with distributors, suppliers, federal or state agencies and
other organizational entities
Directs the Production Manager to meet objectives relating to operational activities
Possesses sound knowledge of sanitation
Directs the Operations Manager in his endeavor to meet objectives related to sanitary practices and
procedures and HACCP
Possesses sound knowledge of plant mechanical systems
Directs the Chief Plant Engineer if fulfilling his goals and objectives as needed for the effective operation
of the plant
Demonstrates sound knowledge of shipping and warehousing to support and direct the warehousing
Manager in his efforts to meet the goals and objectives of his department
Protects the safety and welfare of all team members
Protects the safety of our products through adherence to proper food sanitation and food safety
procedures
Enhances our current standards to bring us in compliance with ISO 10000, worldwide standards for
operations of a company
Appoints department heads or managers and assign/delegate responsibilities to them
Establishes departmental responsibilities and coordinates functions among departments and sites
Implements corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems
Demonstrates knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control and other techniques for
maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods
Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance



Requirements:
BS/BA degree
15
years in a yeast dough plant/large commercial bakery (preferably in frozen dough)
Possess strong and proved dynamic and effective leadership
Possess a keen attention for details and precision
Produce efficient and measurable results
Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of all facets of food safety programs, including HACCP,
ISO, SQF and FDA
Able to work closely, be able to follow directives with the owner who is oftentimes absent
Thoroughly familiar with manufacturing software and the Microsoft product suite
To be computer literate with heavy emphasis on Access Databases and Vicinity Software and Microsoft
Great Plains Accounting




Salary: $150,000-$200,000Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
