Sodexo Campus Services, located on St. Cloud State Campus, is looking for individuals who are passionate about food, fun and creating an exceptional guest experience. We have partnered with St. Cloud University to provide residential dining at Garvey Commons, retail/food concepts in the Atwood Memorial Center, onsite and offsite catering, concessions at Halenbeck Hall and the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. The primary responsibility of a Cook is to provide the highest quality food service to customers at all times. The employee will follow a limited number of recipes, oftentimes repeating the same menu daily. This worker will be responsible for following food-service franchise standards, if applicable. The Cook is expected to follow product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables and other food items for consumption. Food preparation may include the use of a variety of kitchen equipment such as fry wells, deep fryers, grills, steamer, bun toasters, and other related equipment. Duties may also include measuring, mixing ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish. The Cook is expected to read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for the accurate planning, production and requisitioning of supplies and equipment. The Cook may be asked to provide direction and training to other Food Service Workers and will interact with customers. The employee is expected to follow all HACCP procedures, clean and sanitize workstations, counters, steam tables, and other equipment and to follow all Sodexo regulatory rules and procedures. The supervisor may assign other duties as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to pass criminal background check
Food service experience is preferred.

Starting Rate: $9.20 per hour, after 90 days $9.45 per hour
