About the Job
Our client is a progressive Global Trade Association located in Morristown, NJ with a strong focus in technology. They are looking for a VP of HR to lead the company through their global growth and work with C-Suite clients as well as implement in-house organization programs.
The VP of Human Resources develops, maintains and administers all aspects of human resources policies, procedures, processes and systems for the various areas of HR, covering all staff and contractors in all locations. Establishes policies, practices and programs for staffing/recruitment/retention, compensation/benefits, rewards/recognition, employee communication, staff development, succession planning, training/organizational development, and/or employee relations/employment law and regulations.
Overall responsibility for the HR and Talent Management discipline for the organization.
Work with the President & members of the Senior Leadership Team to create, change and implement company policies and ensure metrics are met.
Develop leadership within the entire organization.
Develop and implement an annual HR and Talent strategy in line with the organization's strategic plan.
Specific Responsibilities
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization, including presenting information and responding to questions from Board committees, management, employees, members, and the general public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify and properly handle complex issues, exercising initiative and judgment, and a level of comfort making decisions with sometimes incomplete information.
Advanced knowledge of Human Resource policies, employment law, and government regulations pertaining to their implementation and application with particular focus on the USA, UK and Ireland.
Advanced knowledge of compensation methodologies, benefits, and reward/incentive programs.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in a geographically dispersed, international multi-cultural environment.
Skill in training, especially as related to leadership development, as well as in organizational development.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Ability to lead, coach and develop management staff.
Ability to understand big picture concepts while nurturing/developing a team environment.
Ability to persuade top level executives to adopt policies and initiatives.
Skill in providing analysis, information and reports on operational and strategic HR and Talent programs.
Establishing relationships with appropriate external parties including payroll and benefits service suppliers, recruiters and outside legal counsel.
Commercial acumen - has a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this information to support managers in resource and succession planning.
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelors' degree required, (MBA is a plus) in Human Resources or a related field.
15
years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, with 5 at a senior level.
Specialized and current training in employment law and regulations, compensation, training, organizational planning, organizational development, and employee relations.
Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.
An experienced leader and human resource executive with appropriate industry experience.
An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is savvy and a team player.
An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute.
A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
