Our non-profit client located near Santa Ana, CA is looking for a long term (minimum 6 month) Senior Business Analyst consultant. The project and required skills are defined below.
This position is supporting a major development project which will expand and enhance their existing Claims System. The project is underway now and will continue into early 2015.
The three major deliverables on the project are:
1. An upgrade of Guidewires ClaimCenter software to version 8.0 (Target Q4, 2014)
2. Implementation of Claims Portal for 9 states which currently use an alternative solution (Target Q1 2015)
3. Implementation of IBM FileNet P8 as a document imaging solution (Target Q1 2015)
This role requires a strong individual who can:
Lead requirements meetings with 20
participants including some who are remote and participating via phone or via video conference.
Create clear and concise requirements documents and secure approval from key business users.
Work directly with development team members in helping them implement the solution.
Thrive in a high-paced environment
Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical team members.
Learn new subject areas quickly so they can assist in different aspects of the project.
Would like the individual to have experience with:
Agile methodologies (SCRUM, XP, etc.)
Very strong Microsoft Office skills
Working as part of a team.
Highly desired (focused on the upgrade and implementation of the Claims Portal system) we would like someone who has:
Experience working with Insurance Claims systems
Experience working with Guidewires ClaimCenter (or other Guidewire products)
Ideally the candidate will have been part of either a Guidewire implementation or upgrade project.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
