The Application Software team is looking for a Development Manager to lead a team of developers designing and building world-class software used in the most demanding applications. We''re looking for an experienced manager with a reputation for shipping high-quality software. Your team will typically be working on several parallel products. You will need to balance priorities across these projects, mentor and grow your team, and ensure that software best practices are used across the development projects.
Have overall responsibility for software projects from project inception to release
Lead the team to develop and ship high-quality patient monitoring and database applications
Attract and retain amazing and innovative software developers
Develop standards and guidelines for design and coding projects
Assist with prioritization, capacity planning and budgeting across applications software projects
Ensure that company guidelines, best practices and regulatory requirements are fulfilled by entire team
Work with team to develop individual career plans; monitor their progress and assign projects to assist in meeting goals
BS in computer science/engineering or a related technical discipline

years of hands-on experience developing software for commercial applications
Minimum of 3 years experience managing people
Able to execute tactically while still thinking strategically
Experience with C#, C++, and C
Proven track record of building and managing successful development teams
Passion for building amazing and rock-solid products
Good communications skills
Additional skills that would be immediately beneficial:
Working knowledge of unit test implementation and frameworks.
Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, Windows Embedded Standard, and Android
Experience with database product development (SQL Server, MySQL, etc)
Development experience in multiple product topologies (embedded, application, web, database, and networking)
