Major Utility needs Field Engineers to inspect and support new wind farm construction projects. The Wind Construction inspectors will review electrical design documents and verify conformance with contract technical specifications related to the wind project electrical collection system, substation, grounding system, O&M Building and SCADA system. This includes Inspections of collector power and fiber optic cable installation,splices,terminations, compaction requirements, turbine foundation grounding to meet the design and installation requirements. These are Contract positions in Minnesota and North Dakota.
Responsibilities for the Construction Engineer
Review of electrical design documents and verify conformance with contract technical specifications related to the project electrical collection system, substation, grounding system, O&M Building and SCADA system.
Requirements for the Construction Engineer
ABET accredited engineering degree or equivalent field supervising experience for wind farm electrical construction and 5 years electrical construction experience.15 years experience required for candidates without an engineering degree.
Skills and experience with inspections of collector power and fiber optic cable installation,splices,terminations, compaction requirements, turbine foundation grounding to meet the design and installation requirements.
