Responsibilities:(Description)
_POSITION SUMMARY_
In this critical role, the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will provide financial and strategic decision support to the business to ensure achievement of short and long term financial goals. Partnering with management, the Senior Director will facilitate the understanding of key business dynamics including productivity, relationships, models, trends, leading indicators and business statistics. In addition, the Senior Director leads the development of the operating plan, forecast process, management reporting and financial close activities.
_Operating Planning and Forecastin_ g : Creates annual operating plan that is aligned to the strategic plan and performs forecasting to provide visibility into business results to enable business decisions
Assists in developing the assumptions to be used in the financial models for the annual operating plan which are aligned with the strategic plan
Leads the development of the operating plan and forecast models to ensure reasonable assumptions are applied such as key drivers, trend analysis, economic, and external factors, etc.
Assists in driving investment/funding decisions to achieve targets by providing the financial modeling/ROI analysis
Assists in the preparation of the communication/reporting of the Operating Plan and Forecast to senior management
_Management Reporting and Financial Close Activities_ : Produces and distributes recurring and ad hoc management reports. Responsible for financial reporting accuracy; partners with shared services organizations and ensures adequate control environment to mitigate financial and business risks in collaboration with process owners? Oversees the financial close activity and reviews monthly variance analysis on actual results versus plan/forecast? Prepares presentation on results, forecasts, and plans to senior management of the Business (XCOM)? Reviews and assists in decision making on key business opportunities/risks that have been recommended to senior management? _Business Analysis_ : Uses deep understanding of objectives, issues and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex problems

Supports strategic planning and initiatives by providing financial modeling and reporting required for decision making and/or reviews financial analyses (business case) assumptions
Assists in determining the analytical support needs/data required to build business cases/ financial models
Manages the key components of the initiative e.g. timelines, expectations, accountabilities and oversees financial modeling required
_Business Partnering_ : Partners with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to align on business priorities and drive effective solutions/execution. Constructively communicates compelling arguments based on facts and data, and obtains necessary buy-in to deliver on business objectives

_Information Management Acumen_ _(Advanced) : _ Has solid desktop skills, specifically strong excel skills including the ability to create basic macros; some familiarity with Cognos/Hyperion is preferred. Learns new technology quickly and is adept at using data to create existing reports.

BS - Accounting , Finance, Economics or equivalent, MBA Preferred
