# Job Description
This position will be filled at the 40 or 45 level depending on the experience of the candidate selected.
The International and Trade Finance Operations team supports a number of services including, but not limited to handling foreign checks, foreign currency orders, and Trade Finance products such as Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bankers' Acceptances, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Finance and Eximbank/SBA Working Capital Guarantee transactions. This position is responsible for ensuring the International and Trade Finance Operations team is compliant with the various regulations governing the services they support as well as managing the roll out of new products, services, and major enhancements to existing products.
II. Principal
Responsibilities:
Develop & maintain robust department policies and procedures to ensure all internal compliance/Anti-Boycott/OFAC/AML requirements are adhered to. Collaborates with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements, government rules, contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures
Maintains highly advanced and specialized knowledge of all laws, regulations, developments and trends in the industry and ensures team is properly informed and trained.
Conducts risk reviews/final risk assessment of documents presented to the bank and has approval authority on issuances of Letters of Credit.
Assists in the tracking and monitoring of transactions.
Acts as a resource and provides advice and direction on trade related compliance questions.
Analyzes business activities and recommend operational efficiencies.
Manages and organizes new enhancement requests and opens issues from the internal and external users; translates business requirements, manages and tracks the status of open items/projects; manages relationship(s) with system vendors.
Evaluates existing products and identifies opportunities for new products to ensure that the organization remains competitive. Acts as the point business resource in managing the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications/products and enhancements to existing applications/products.
Coordinates the activities of marketing, operations, production and other support staff to deliver trade and international products in an effective manner.
Communicates pertinent information regarding trade and international products and their application to sales staff and consultants.

III. Education/Experience Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade operations
Must have experience with SWIFT

Behavioral/Technical Skills:
Certified Documentary Credit Specialist- preferred
Strong working knowledge of UCP600, ISP98, URDG758. URC522, SWIFT
Demonstrated experience and expertise of the Trade Services industry is required and must be maintained as the industry changes. Knowledge of Uniforms Customs and Practices for Documentary Credit (UCP) and Uniform Rules for Collection (URC) required to be kept up to date.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are needed to effectively convey information in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent project management, analytical and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
Broad knowledge of the industry and the ability to keep informed of trends and developments.
Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate opportunities for product development.
Ability to foster effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Innovation and flexibility are essential to meet the demands of an ever-changing market.
