Licensed structural engineer for Fairfax, VA office to work on a wide variety of projects including federal projects, corrections, courthouses, and commercial buildings. This position will require a 4-6 week technical training period in Illinois prior to beginning work.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include engineering design, construction document production, project file maintenance, production schedule and budget monitoring, and work plans. Individual will work on all phases of structural development including structural analysis, design and inspection relative to steel, concrete and other materials for buildings and responsible for over-seeing the work of a junior structural engineer.
Required Skills & Required
Experience:
To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of structural building experience, a B.S.C.E. with a structural emphasis and a professional engineering license in VA or the ability to obtain by reciprocity is required. Strong Revit proficiency and excellent communication skills are required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
