Job Qualifications
Previous employment as a Medical Assistant w/ a minimum of one year of experience strongly preferred
Ambulatory operations and excellent patient flow experience required
Must be friendly, bright, sensitive and patient with a diverse group
Must possess excellent communication skillsa
Centricity or other EMR and data entry experience preferred
Expresses desire and willingness to learn new skills; engage in all aspects of our rapidly growing nursing department; work as a team player
Willingness to be flexible with changing needs of the company
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team while maintaining a positive, helpful, professional team player attitude
Demonstrates skills in critical thinking, problem solving with the ability to make independent decisions, maximize patient flow in the clinical area. This includes but is not limited to: anticipating patient/provider needs and mobilizing the appropriate resources as needed, and collaboration with colleagues
Ability to function and multitask in a busy work setting while addressing a variety of situations, including but not limited to: patient/provider questions & needs, answering nursing department telephone calls, answering patient questions in regards to all aspects of nursing, assist as needed
Ability to learn and accomplish new tasks including but not limited to: EKG, vital signs, spirometry, allergy injections, pediatric and adult vaccinations, assisting w/ GYN and other minor procedures, stocking and ordering, scheduling appointments within the nursing department, hearing and visions screenings, administrative tasks, answering questions related to nursing department, allergy testing/treatment, and infusion therapyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
