Summary:
Position is responsible for the timely collection of customer accounts receivable in an assigned geographical region that will maximize Company's cash flow under limited supervision.
Key
Responsibilities:
Collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast paced goal oriented collections department.
Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos.
Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales dept regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers, distributors and sales force
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Weekly and monthly reporting to direct assigned lead and/or department manager
Monthly Delinquency notices to customers and/or distributors
Processing monthly credit memos and the appropriate reporting
High volume phone calls to assigned delinquent customers
Manage customers on the suspended report
Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due
Provide excellent & considerate customer service to customers, distributors and sales force
Internal and External customer interface
Participate in team planning meetings
Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
Hours: 40 hours a week, overtime as required.

Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two year degree in accounting is preferred; 2
years high volume corporate collections experience.
Office equipment experience is required. Microsoft Office experience is required. Enterprise resource planning and/or financial systems experience is required.
Language Ability:
Ability to effectively communicate with customers as well as internal personnel. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Exercises decision-making ability, advising the Department Supervisor, or designee, as needed, of special concerns as they arise.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
