Functions/
Responsibilities:
Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance
Work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities
Assist in maintaining plant security
Maintain work area, equipment and tools
Dispose of waste per company policies
Calibrate equipment
Assist in plant Self Safety and ASI inspections
Assist in general plant cleaning and general appearance
Keep the Northlake complex clean (offices, building and grounds)
Comply with all OSHA required activities for PIT
Operate floor scrubber
Must perform up to 60% of procedures within department
Also responsible for duties of Maintenance person
Comply with all company/department safety rules and procedures
Qualifications
Working knowledge of mechanics
Ability to read blue prints, sketches and equipment manuals
Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics
Must be experienced in all facets of maintenance - mechanical, electrical, building, & vehicle repair.
Must pass Northlake maintenance qualification process
Experience with pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal) drives: gearbox, belts, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies
Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage.
Piping (water and steam)
Boilers understand steam condensate system tracing, coils, traps, and pumps.
Air compressor system- including filters regulators, dryers, and lubricators.
HVAC air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
Lift truck- electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics
Strong math aptitude
Additional Information
This is a union position. The rate of pay ranges from $17.86 to $18.52. The schedules we are recruiting for are:
Sat and Sun 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM - Thurs and Fri 3:00 PM to 11:30PM
Sat and Sun 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM - Mon and Tues 3:00 PM to 11:30PMEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
