Our client in southern New hampshire is looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their team for a long term (9
month) contract opportunity. Candidates interested in this position should have experience with new product introduction/development, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and possess strong process and procedure writing skills. Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer
Work with the new product development team to identify design, manufacturing and service risks and provide best practice recommendations to avoid quality, delivery and reliability issues.
Work with the Materials department to identify and develop key commodity suppliers resulting in supplier self-release of defect free material for delivery to stock.
Assess suppliers' manufacturing systems through on-site audits, source inspections, incoming inspection and corrective actions. Participate in the lead role to address supplier performance issues and to transition parts production between company and suppliers and vice versa.
Support the development, implementation and execution of an audit system to ensure conformity of product from receipt to delivery and service.
Perform failure analysis to determine root cause and develop, execute and monitor corrective action plans to ensure the highest practical level of failure avoidance is implemented in the appropriate places.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma skills to enhance operational and business performance.
Demonstrates commitment to company Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related technical field.
Minimum 5 years experience within manufacturing operations as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
Experience with new product introductions.
Competence in Microsoft Office software. Computer proficiency, using both networked personal computers and electronic hardware utilized to run inspection equipment.
Experience with Lean (Demand Flow) production, Certified Lean/Six Sigma desirable.
SPC and DOE desirable.
Demonstrated successful performance in team environments.
Experience working with suppliers in developing successful dock to stock programs.
Clear understanding of machining, sheet metal and circuit board manufacturing and their related processes.
Hands on experience with precision measurement and associated tools.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
