The Java Software Engineer will be responsible for the following
We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Software Java Engineer to support the project located in Alexandria, VA. The engineer will apply experience as a generalist; solve complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity; perform work under direction and is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long term perspective; decisions result in an organization achieving critical organizational objectives.
The Java Software Engineer must have the following skills:
o 5
years of Strong experience in Java enterprise development experience with J2EE.
oStrong knowledge of enterprise application integration using J2EE tools (WebSphere Application Server preferred).
oExcellent writing/communications skills.
oUnderstanding of unit testing, and system level testing, requiring ability to work the big picture.
oKnowledge of Test Management Software (e.g. HP Mercury suite of tools -QuickTestPro, TestDirector, LoadRunner, Quality Center)
oAbility to work closely with others on small Agile teams
oUnderstanding of Agile development concepts including Scrum and XP
oExperience with software source code management using Serena Dimensions
The Java Software Engineer must meet the following
Qualifications:
oU.S. Citizenship is required
oAnalyze and gather Business requirements.
oWrite and review Functional and Technical Specifications for Requirements.
oDesign, Code and Test Development for Requirements based on CRs, WRs, Design Documents etc.
oReview Code, Tests and Test Plans for Quality Assurance purposes.
oParticipate in Agile production support teams and perform Technical Investigation and Issue Resolution.
oPerform technical research and Support COTS upgrades
oExperience with Full Software Development Life Cycle and the CBP SELC.
Technologies/Platforms:
Java J2EE,WebLogic/WebSphere, MQ and JMS Messaging, JPA Persistence, Spring Framework, Hibernate (or Mybatis), Rules engine (Drools or JBPM), Oracle (Exadata preferred), Business Objects (preferred)
Development Tools:
Atlassian Tool Suite including GreenHopper (or equivalent), Eclipse, ANT, Jira, JUnit, Subversion, Bamboo, Clover, FishEye, Sprinter, Confluence Wiki.
