Heinz is seeking to hire a Material Coordinator to join our Operations/Material team. In this position you will ensure that all incoming materials are received according to procedure; reconcile raw ingredients and finished goods'' inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring raw ingredients and finished goods inventories, perofrm cycle counts, enter production and generate various inventory reports. You will be managing and controlling the inventory and flow of packaging through the plant with a focus on maximizing customer service and minimizing overall cost.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for an accurate cycle count. Enhance cycle counting program with measures for continuous improvement.
Enter all productionreporting into MRP system. Develope, track, and report meaningful performance indicators that show the effectiveness of the MRP and other control efforts.
Maintain an accurate inventory of finished goods. Conduct the necessary audits to ensure the accuracy.
Maintain raw materials and packaging inventories.
Prepare for semi annual and annual physical inventories.
Produce and distribute all necessary reporting.
Resolve and production issues resulting from incorrect entries on the number of batches reported. Work closely with all plant departments in the education, use, and promotions of the MRP system.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and
Experience:
College degree preferred, or minimum or one year in the food industry.
Knowledge of food processing and inventory preferred.
Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year to learn thefunction of the job.
Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
Detail orientated.
Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to delegate and follow through.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Must be able to exercise discretion and judgement because of access to confidential information.
Strong computer skills, Excel, Word
