a search firm specializing in the lighting industry. We have positions at all levels with Architectural, commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Solid State Lighting fixture, lamp, and ballast manufacturers.
Our client is a fast paced high growth LED lighting systems OEM with history of increased and a broad lighting product portfolio who is seeking an experienced project engineer with strong technical expertise in LED lighting fixtures to assume the role of:
Mechanical Project Engineer
Under the direction of the Vice President, Engineering, the Senior Project Engineer works directly with Design, Marketing and Operation's to plan and complete assigned projects within the time and costs established for the project. The individual manages multiple concurrent projects in an outsourced manufacturing and engineering environment.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain a project plan for each project under direct control, including time and material costs.
Prepare, submit and track regulatory approval (UL, CE, ETL, etc) of fixture and component design projects.
May direct and review the work of subordinate, contract or supplier engineering activity.
Review prototypes with design and sales and marketing to ensure that the aesthetic look and product features are obtained as visualized.
Review and approve planned tooling expenditures associated with a project.
Create and maintain a complete set of product documentation (drawings, specifications, BOMs etc.) for each project.

Education and Experience
BSME or BSEE
2 to 5 years of experience in design engineering in an electrical/mechanical environment, lighting experience preferred.
Knowledge of standard light sources and drivers; LED's, HID, Fluorescent, etc.
Experience with project management processes and knowledge of time and materials estimation.
Able to design and draw products using Solidworks or an equivalent software from artist rendering and product descriptions. Ability to visualize the finished product.
Experience designing with various materials (metal, plastic, glass, etc.) and an understanding various material manufacturing processes (injection, casting, spinning, stamping, etc).
Knowledge of each material's limitation with respect to heat and light exposure.
Knowledge of lighting industry testing and regulatory processes.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
