The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 4
years of experience. This position will supervise a small group of staff accountants during the monthly financial close cycle and support the Senior Accounting Manager with the preparation of quarterly financial statements.
Responsibilities include:
Lead role in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
Review of general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the accounting staff.
Financial analysis over monthly results and communication to senior management to explain account fluctuations and deviations from trend.
Instruct staff on ways to streamline preparation of monthly close deliverables such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
Evaluate current department workflows and procedures to determine process improvements: document and implement as appropriate.
Preparation of financial calculations to support Form 10-K and 10-Q footnote and MD&A disclosures required by Director of SEC Reporting.
Assist Accounting Manager in performance of Oracle maintenance to ensure the tool is used efficiently and effectively.
Review and preparation of documentation required by the Sarbanes-Oxley act for internal and external reporting.
Assist with year-end audit and quarterly review requests from external and internal auditors.

Strong excel skills are required.
